For Sponsors
The next opportunity to send a letter and/or gift to your student will be Spring 2019. Check your email inbox and our social media channels for more info next Spring.
We want to help you form a real and meaningful relationship with your sponsor student! This page details three ways that you can connect with your student to show them that you care about them and the education that they are receiving. Each student and their families are extremely thankful for their sponsors and that you are financing their education. Take any of these next steps to show them some love!
Write a Letter
We encourage all sponsors to send a letter to their student with a few photos so that the students can make the connection to who is paying for their education. Each student and their families are extremely thankful for their sponsors and that you are financing their education.
You can always include some family photos, which your sponsor child and their families will treasure.
The next opportunity to send a letter to your student is in the Spring of 2019. Stay tuned for more information.

Sponsor Letters Template
Dear (student’s name),
Write a short 2-3 sentence introduction. In your introduction be sure to include the names and ages of your immediate family and where you live.
In the body of your letter, elaborate on 2-3 of the following prompts:
Favorite thing to do for fun
Favorite food to cook for dinner
Describe any pets that live in your house
Favorite sport
Major/Emphasis of study in school or Favorite Subject in School
Describe what you do for a living
Come up with 2-3 questions for your sponsor student to answer in their response letter. Think in terms of family, education, and culture (food, sports, chores, etc).
Print/sign your name
Helpful Hint: Your student does not read or speak English. Your letter will be translated by a staff member into Haitian Creole. Please keep this in mind when writing your letter. Keep it simple and easily translatable.
Send a Gift
Along with your letter and photos, you can also send a small gift (see ideas below) to your student. Whatever you decide to send your student must fit comfortably inside a quart sized zip-lock bag.
The next opportunity to send a gift to your student is in Spring of 2019. Stay tuned for more information.
